Magazine Pilot in the making
After deciding which topic outline I was going to focus on for my magazine it was, then time for me to paint and explore each of the illustrations I would make. Here are a few samples
Refining ideas- Logo design & ideas
I started to think about a suitable name and an identity for my brand magazine. The initial idea was to call it ‘ink’ however with ink being too generic I wanted to give it a completely different identity instead.
I chose a unique name which would still have the same underlined meaning, Blaek which is Danish means ‘ink’.
After that I chose my topic outline culture and tattoos, within an anthropological overview, and my magazine finally started on coming together.
Starting my response
For my response I wanted to deliver a purely illustrative magazine with very few words and more images, here are some initial prototypes.
Book Cover inspiration
Here are some additional watercolour cover inspirations, which allowed me to explore the vision for my book cover.
Elegant and soft, the strokes used are delicate and well defined.
Final Result
After combining all the frames me and my group imported everything into Adobe Premiere Pro and this is the final result.

Microsoft Surface Pro frame making
After consulting with my group I have been given the instructions of cleaning up some photographs in order to develop them into frames.
the process consisted in cleaning the original background moving the characters onto a new illustrated background.
Microsoft Surface cip 3
For the new CIP project Microsoft Surface Pro we were asked to create a small animation of 1 to 2 min where we were showcasing the new Microsoft’s technologies
My research consisted on exploring adverts which used language and in some form expressed communication towards an object or an individual.
Progress- Anthology
I have made a couple of illustration for the first studio session in order to understand riso- printing layering and perhaps exploring it further.
The main challenge at first was to portray the topic of ‘gender’ which surrounds the essay from the novel
I picked out certain elements of the text in order to make an analysis drawing what the elements of text would represent. It was a test also to explore this idea of illustrating words.
Making my own layout design
For Anthology I decided to create a sample of my layout and how I would have wanted it to look like. I began on exploring book layouts which would look classic, but yet meet the modern conventions.
After that I exported my illustration on Indesign creating a chapter opener page an inside cover, with the title of our chapter; Power, Beyond, Compare.
